HI! I am so excited that you are joining me on this amazing learning adventure. I cannot wait to learn from each of you and share all the great things that are happening in American education!
Just a little bit about me...
I graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN in May of 92' and soon thereafter received my first job offer. My first year of teaching I taught 1st grade in the same classroom that I had as a 1st grader in Snohomish, WA. Since that early September day, I have taught upper elementary, middle school LA, Math, Science and Social Studies. I have taught in Snohomish, WA, Palmer & Wasilla, AK, and Bitburg, Germany. I am now an Educational Technologist in the Kaiserslautern School District for the Department of Defense Education Activity.
"What is an Educational Technologist?" you may ask. Each day I work with other educators designing lessons that integrate technology in meaningful ways, with a focus of real-world application. I collaborate, co-teach, offer professional development and work with students! It is a diverse position that is ever changing and is a perfect job to promote creativity, critical thinking, effective communication in life-long learners. Everyday I learn something new from my colleagues and students. I am truly blessed!
My husband is absolutely amazing! He embodies life-long learning! We enjoy traveling, spending time in the mountains hiking, camping, and skiing, and hanging out with our friends.
